What to Wear to Yoga: How to Dress Comfortably for Yoga

What to Wear to Yoga
The most important thing when dressing for yoga is to choose items that are going to stretch and move as you do. The last thing you want during an hour-long yoga class is to be wearing things that are going to stick into you and make you uncomfortable.
For this reason, underwire bras are obviously a big no-no. These will hamper your movements and negatively detriment your flow. The most important part of yoga is the flow from one movement to the next, and the focus on maintaining your deep, even breathing throughout. To optimise this, it's essential that you wear a bra that's soft, flexible and comfortable - you should be able to forget you’re wearing a bra at all.
It's also good to avoid wearing any items that are going to become uncomfortable in general. This means choosing pieces that have no tags, seams or labels - you don’t want anything digging into you, catching you, or making you itch. This is particularly important with underwear and intimates, as these are the pieces that are closest to your skin. Keep this in mind while choosing your top and yoga pants too, though - the best yoga pants will be seamless and tag and label free. Buy pants that are specifically designed for yoga, and these will be crafted to stay on you comfortably as you move through your yoga poses.
Yoga can be a more dynamic exercise than people think. Make sure you wear something that fits you properly and isn’t going to be rolling down every 5 minutes. Pulling up pants that don’t fit you right every time you switch poses is going to hugely affect your ability to relax and lose yourself in the movements. Yoga is supposed to be a dynamic, meditative exercise - and nothing pulls you out of that semi-meditative state like ill-fitting, uncomfortable clothes.
